Kenya may not be one of the world's largest coffee exporters but it's all about quality here. We would argue that no other coffee growing nation pays such strict attention to quality of production and grading. Most of the coffee grown here is in the High Plateaus where the rich volcanic soils are excellent for growing coffee.
Most of the coffee produced here is Arabica and is grown at altitudes of 1400-2000m. Kenyan coffee is for those who like their coffee bold and acidic. When it is lightly roasted it has a slightly fruity flavour but when darkly roasted it will have a more caramel flavour.
