Would You Try The World's Strongest Coffee?

One of the coffees served up in the Viscous café in Adelaide is serving up a brew that contains 8o times the amount of caffeine found in a regular shot.

Viscous Café Adelaide

The café has designed a brew called the ‘asskicker’ which contains four espresso shots, 120ml of 10 day brewed coffee and eight 48 hour cold brew ice cubes. Because of the strength of the brew it is advised that drinkers consume the drink over a period of 3 -4 hours.

The asskicker contains 5g of caffeine, a single shot of espresso usually contains 60mg of caffeine while a standard filer coffee has about 150mg of caffeine.

The drink was apparently originally made for a nurse who was looking for ways to get through a night shift. She apparently used the brew over a two day period to keep her awake.

Health Warning

The brew that is served today in the café is issued with a health warning-persons with high blood pressure and or heart conditions drink at your own risk.

Whilst caffeine is credited with bringing many health benefits there are also concerns about consuming too much caffeine. The negative effects of caffeine include sleeplessness, nervousness, restlessness and irritability. As such some medical professionals have expressed concern about the drink.

The asskicker is available in three sizes, small, medium anmd large all depending on how much caffeine you require!
